Disney+ has released a trailer of its Home Alone reboot, ‘Home Sweet Home Alone’.
The movie follows a similar plot the highly successful original movie which was
released in 1990 and saw 3 subsequent sequels follow its success.
Disney+ under fire from Home Alone fans
Fans of the original movie have taken to Twitter after watching the new trailer. Some share excitement to relive the Christmas classic through the reboot, however, others feel the new movie is unnecessary.
One user shared his thoughts saying: “Ugh… Why? This new Home Alone looks so unnecessary, recycling the same beats, but safer with the robbers less scary & the kid-less sweet. Just watch the original again, it’s a perfect, timeless film”
Another said: “So, the plot for Home Sweet Home Alone is just a retelling of the first movie again might call it a sequel, but, I see it as just a remake. A film that especially never needed one, in the first place.”
